ForeverMissed.com - While reflecting upon his grandparents' lives, Forever Missed founder Oleg Andelman was surprised by how little he actually knew about them. He realized that today families can use the Internet to create an online memorial page and share media with one another. These websites would also help our children learn about the lives of their ancestors and preserve memories of them. On December 1, 2006, six women from diverse backgrounds came together to take a very unique trip: a 17-day intensive pilgrimage to volunteer in rural South Africa. Prior to the journey, these six women did not know each other. However they all shared one thing in common: they had all suffered the death of a child. With grief in their hearts and the willingness to make a difference, this intrepid group of women traveled half way around the world to live with local African families and to work with African organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children. “Motherland” is a documentary film that reveals what happened, and the lives that were forever changed, on this journey of hope and healing.
